- Where can we park for the races?
We encourage you to get there early!
Parking is available at the Watercolor Publix on County Road 395. To get to Seaside - From Hwy 98 go South on Hwy 395 towards CR 30A. When you get to the Publix in Watercolor, volunteers will direct you to an available parking lot. From the Publix parking lot, there will be a shuttle every 10 minutes that will take you to the starting line. The shuttle is the most convenient way to get to the race. With the large number of runners, Seaside will be very crowded and getting in and out with all the closed roads will be next to impossible, so using the shuttle will save you time and aggravation. Shuttles will start running at 5am.
On race day tune to 30A Radio at 107.1 for more race information.
- Can I register on race day?
Registration is not available the weekend of the race. All registrations must be received by 2/18.
- Can I switch from the Half Marathon to the 5K?
Yes, but only while the 5K is open for registration. We anticipate that the 5K will reach its field limit of 800 well before race weekend.
- Do you take Credit Cards for Registration at the Expo on Saturday.
Yes.
- What are the event start times?
Sunday, March 6th, 2011.
- Half Marathon: 7:00am
- 5k: 7:25am
- What are the time limits for the races? Are they walker friendly?
Yes, we welcome walkers for both of the races. The time limit for getting an official time for the Half Marathon is 3 hours, but walkers can complete the race on the adjacent bike trail after that time. There is no time limit on the 5K Race. All support for both races will end at 10am.
- Are there any maps of the race venue?
Yes, click here to view the map.
- What will the weather be like when I run the Marathon?
It's always a picture perfect day in Seaside, with perfect running weather! But for those of you who insist on trying to predict Mother Nature, we have compiled the following information:
Click Here For Current Raceday Forecast
Temperature: The weather in early March is somewhat unpredictable, but the average high is about 69/70 and the average low is about 51/52. Over the past 10 years, it has been as hot as 78 and as cold as 35 on March 5th.
Rain: It might rain, it might not. March isn't the rainiest month of the year, but it's not the driest month either. (Three years ago it poured during packet pick-up on the Saturday evening before the race; however, we had nice race weather the next day.)
Water Temperature: Except for snowbirds and college spring-breakers, most folks find that the Gulf is still too cool for swimming.
- What sports drinks are available on the course?
Water and Powerade are available at each waterstation.
- What can I do before and after the race?
» Weekend Events
- How do I get a refund if I cannot attend?
There are absolutely no refunds.
